About Amelia Zai

Amelia Zai, a former Jimmy Fund patient and author, is a college student who enjoys cooking and spending time in bookstores. Amelia's experience has inspired her to give back to the community that saved her life. 

When Amelia was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing's sarcoma in 2016, she, like many other patients, was unsure of her future. She wanted to write Amelia Takes on Cancer not only to give back to her community, but also provide some insight into what patients might feel as they go through treatment. 

After the publication of Amelia Takes on Cancer, Amelia started a GoFundMe Campaign to provide copies of her book to fellow pediatric cancer patients. To date, kind supporters have raised ~$6,000. So far, Amelia has donated 100 books to the Jimmy Fund Clinic in Boston.
